Three months after their injuries, 30 to 80 percent of players continue to have post-concussion symptoms.

These can include:

  • Headache
  • Fuzzy or blurry vision
  • Nausea or Vomiting
  • Dizziness
  • Balance Problems
  • Sensitivity to noise, light
  • Difficulty falling asleep
  • Sleeping more or less than normal
  • Hard to think clearly
  • Feeling slowed down
  • Hard to concentrate
  • Hard to remember new information

The more concussions sustained over the course of a lifetime can lead to lasing and progressive impairments, including CTE.

  • Post-concussion Syndrome
  • Encephalopathy
  • Dementia
  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease)
  • CTE
