He was a major college football recruit. Years later, he shares why he never played a game

It was a couple months before what would’ve been his first college football game at Fresno State when Ben Simonds decided he was done with football. He stepped into an office with his offensive line coach and told him that after four years of two-a-days in high school and another as a redshirt in college, he had lost the passion to play the game he once loved.
